Haim - Forever
Zpravodajský server BBC vyhlásil výsledky 11. ročníku zavedené ankety Sound of... pro rok 2013. Odborníci v ní hledají interprety s největší šancí zazářit v následujících dvanácti měsících. Letošním vítězem je kanadské sesterské trio Haim, jejichž éterický indie-pop srovnávají novináři s legendárními Fleetwood Mac. Vůbec poprvé zvítězila dívčí kapela. „Haim mají pro hudbu obrovskou vášeň, která zní v jejich písních. Jsou to skvělé hudebnice, které mají talent na melodie, jež propojují příběhy o vyrůstání v 21. století s klasickým písničkářstvím," prohlásil o vítězkách ankety Huw Stephens z Radio 1.
Sestry vyrostly v San Franciscu a od mládí hrály v rodinné kapele. Dvě starší sestry doprovázely na koncertech písničkářku Jenny Lewis nebo Juliana Casablancase z The Strokes, jako Haim fungují dva roky. Upozornily na sebe EPčkem Forever vydaným zdarma přes svůj web. Jeho titulní skladbu zařadil Guardian do své výroční Top 20 a následný singl Don't Save Me bodoval na čísle 74 britské hitparády. Haim už také předskakovaly úspěšným kolegům Mumford & Sons nebo Florence and the Machine a upsaly se značce Polydor Records, kde by měly v první třetině roku 2013 vydat svůj albový debut.
